This tutorial provides a step-by-step guide on how to delete a label using the Enhanced Labels Label Enhancer for JiraJIRA.
Select a Label to Edit:
In the Label Manager OpsOperation, you'll see a list of existing labels.
Locate the label you wish to edit.
Click on the Edit icon
next to the label.
Initiate the Editing Process:
Clicking the Edit icon
will open a modal for editing the selected label.
Edit the Label:
In the modal, you'll find a field to input the new label name.
Enter the desired changes into the new label field.
Save the Changes:
After making the changes, click the Edit button within the modal to save.
Completion:
Upon successful editing, you'll be redirected to the bulk operation process progress page.
A success message will confirm that the label has been successfully edited.
1.3. Constraints
Editing labels is irreversible. Ensure the new label name is accurate before saving changes.
Only users with the appropriate permissions can edit labels. If you lack the necessary permissions, contact your project administrator.
1.4. Potential Issues
Insufficient Permissions: If you encounter a permission error, verify your access rights project permissions or consult with your project administrator.
Non-existent Labels: Attempting to edit labels that don't exist or have already been deleted removed will result in an error. Refresh the Label Manager Enhancer for JIRA to view the current list of labels.
