1. Deleting a Single Label

1.1. Prerequisites

  • Confirm that at least one label exists to delete.

  • Navigate to the project's Label Manager page.

1.2. How to Delete a Label

  • Access the Label Manager:

    • Navigate to your Jira project.

    • In the project sidebar, locate and click on Enhanced Labels for Jira.

  • Identify the Label to Delete:

    • In the Label Manager page, browse/search through the list to find the label you intend to delete.

  • Initiate the Deletion Process:

    • Click on the delete icon(blue star)adjacent to the label name.

  • Confirm Deletion:

    • A confirmation modal will appear. Review the details to ensure you're deleting the correct label.

    • Click on the Delete button within the modal to proceed.

  • Completion:

    • Upon successful deletion, you'll be redirected to the bulk operation process page.

    • A success message will confirm the label has been deleted.

1.3. Constraints

  • Ensure that the label is no longer needed before deletion.

  • If you lack the necessary permissions, contact your project administrator.

1.4. Potential Issues

  • Insufficient Permissions: If you encounter a permission error, verify your access rights or consult with your project administrator.

  • Non-existent Label: Attempting to delete a label that doesn't exist or has already been deleted will result in an error. Refresh the Label Manager to view the current list of labels.
