1.1. Prerequisites

A user with administrator permissions, creates a Status.

1.2. How to

To create a Status within the Budget Management for Jira, follow these steps:

1.2.1. From your admin section, on your left-hand side menu click on the settings icon, this action will take you to the overview page.

1.2.2. On the left-hand side menu, click on Status, which will open the status modal.

1.2.3. Click on the Create Status button in the upper right corner; this action will open the modal to create a new status.

1.2.4. To create a new status, make sure you fill in the mandatory fields and the necessary information.

1.2.5. Proceed by clicking on Create button.

1.3. Constraints

When it comes to creating a status, there are a few important considerations.

1.3.1. All mandatory fields must be filled; otherwise, the status won’t be created.

1.3.2. The status name must be unique; a duplicate name will cause an error.

1.3.3. Only users with admin permissions can create a status.

1.4. Issues that may arise

When you're attempting to create a status, there are a couple of potential issues that might come up.

1.4.1. Lack of admin permissions will prevent creation.

1.4.2. Missing mandatory fields will cause an error.

1.4.3. Using a duplicate name will result in an error.
