Project Version Validator [Toolbox for Jira] will validate whether the selected version/s in the version field (Fix Version/s or Affect Version/s) is the selected version status (Unreleased, Released, or Archived) after they have been changed in a workflow transaction.

  • In order to be able to add the validator, you need to go to the due workflow transaction where you want to add this validation; Click on the due transaction and add the validator as shown below:

  • Then search for Project Version Validator [Toolbox for JIRA] and select it:

  • Next, add parameters to validator.

If the Fix Version/s field contains a version that is in a different status than the UNRELEASED an error message will be displayed.

  • In order to be able to proceed select an unreleased version that you want to add to.
